Fear Driven Films is an award-winning production company based in the East of England. The company was founded in 2012 by brother and sister team Alexander Gordon Smith and Kate Smith. Fear Driven Films is dedicated to producing world-class horror films, with a number of short films and features in the pipeline.
is the author of a number of bestselling novels, including the Escape From Furnace series - Lockdown, Solitary, Death Sentence, Fugitives and Execution - The Inventors novels and the brand new The Fury books. Along with his sister, Kate, he has written a number of shorts and features, and his first film, Sola Gratia, was produced in 2012.
is an award-winning writer who has penned a number of scripts, both shorts and features. She has co-produced several short films, and is currently working on her second novel.

Our main production for 2013 is the feature film Stagnant, a horror comedy set on the Norfolk Broads.
Alex is getting married, and he and the lads are up for one last night of freedom - a beer-soaked boat trip on the Norfolk Broads. But what begins as the party of the year soon becomes a blood-drenched nightmare as the stags and the strippers realise that marriage can be murder...
A truly original film with an unforgettable villain, Stagnant is currently in pre-production.

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that we’re going to be co-producing Stagnant with one of the most innovative production houses in the UK, Bloody Cuts. Founded and led by Ben Franklin, these guys have been hailed as the future of horror with their genre-busting, award-winning series of short movies. We’re hugely excited to be working with them!
The final edit of Sola Gratia is now complete, and the film is done! It looks fantastic, and we’re thrilled with how it has turned out. A huge thanks to everyone involved. At some point we’ll be giving the film a good sound edit, and maybe a new score, but for now we’re proud to give you our first ever film!
